Overview
Featuring mature and undulating greens that players say are among the
best in Virginia, the 18-hole, par-72 layout spreads through the
forested foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The course will undergo
a facelift starting in 2008 under the guidance of Ed Carton, one of the
country's hottest new golf architects. Carton, a former design associate
with well-known architect Tom Fazio for six years, recently built Poplar
Grove and Spring Creek, both winners of Golf Digest Best New Course
awards.
The Rivanna Resort & Golf Club is conveniently located 20 minutes from Charlottesville, the University of Virginia, Monticello (the home of Thomas Jefferson) and Ash Lawn (the home of James Monroe).
